Frozen Chinese Waterfalls Are Winter Wonderland
China’s Taihang Mountain region is a traveller’s paradise, full of lush foliage, sheer cliffs and gorgeous waterfalls.
But when temperatures drop in the winter, those same waterfalls become immensely more gorgeous, freezing into an icy wonderland of cotton ball-like puffs and thousands of immense icicles.
Some especially mesmerizing photos were recently captured in the Hebei Province of northern China after temperatures dropped to an icy 12 below, reports Earthables.com.
The Taihang Mountains Grand Canyon National Park spans nearly 50 square miles in both Henan and Shanxi provinces, according to Shanghai Daily.
